The national flag of Eritrea was adopted on December 5, 1995. It is based on the flag flown by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Eritrea in its struggle for independence. The green color symbolizes the agricultural and livestock economy of Eritrea, the red color means the blood shed during the struggle for the independence of Eritrea, the blue color represents the marine wealth, the yellow color represents the mineral wealth of Eritrea, the olive crown and the branch on the flag comes from the first national flag of Eritrea which was used between 1952 and 1961, the olive wreath was adopted from the United Nations flag and symbolizes peace.

SHIELD

The coat of arms of Eritrea was adopted on May 24, 1993, the date the country declared independence from Ethiopia.

It is a circular emblem, more than a heraldic shield, with the representation of a dromedary in natural colors surrounded by a garland of olive leaves. At the bottom is a ribbon with the official name of the state, in the official languages - English in the center, Tigrinya on the left, and Arabic on the right.
